Team ATTAC epilepsy
I AM NOT AN EPILECTIC
I am a cyclist who has epilepsy. That is an important distinction. I am not a victim of epilepsy, but it has enough of a negative impact on me that I want to do something about it. I am a husband and consultant and writer and pet dad. Epilepsy is part of me, but it does not define me.
I am also a problem-solver. As my disorder has gotten worse I have realized that I can bitch and moan about it all I want to, which may provide short-term relief but won't solve anything. Or I can do something about it. Team ATTAC is my attempt to do something about it.
I am the author of "bike.", a book about how cycling has helped me manage my disorder. Any cyclist or anyone with a chronic physical or mental issue will easily relate. Proceeds from book sales go directly to support epilepsy research.
